Here is an article you will find interesting: http://www.rsnt.org/contents/moral-and-theological-denials-of-jews-responsibility-for-murder-of-jesus.html Moral and Theological Denials of the Jews Responsibility for the Murder of Jesus by Dan Allen Ethical and theological negations of Jewish responsibility for the murder of Jesus form the central belief of the New Testament. But this belief is, still, crushed by the portrayal of the Jew as demon in this book of faith. "Father Forgive them; for they know not what they do," Luke’s Jesus declares, upon crucifixion, in a highly celebrated moment in Christian ethics. (23:34) "I wot that through ignorance you did it, as did also your rulers," Saint Peter agrees about the Jews alleged murder of Jesus (Acts 3:17) Add to these Luke’s Jesus’ famous proclamation, " Bless those who curse you, pray for those who treat you badly. To the man who slaps you on one cheek, present the other cheek too," (6:28-30) 1 and one has the ground rules of Christian ethics. Still, to be a good Christian, one must, "enthusiastically," follow all these rules. Unfortunately, the "Gospels" portrayal of Jesus does not fit the above role model. A Jesus of hate, ironically enough, replaces the Jesus of love. Jesus is simply intolerant and hateful of anyone who refuses to follow him. -2- Just consider: "But whenever you enter a town and they do not make you welcome…it will be more bearable for Sodom than for that town. Anyone who listens to you listens to me; anyone who rejects you rejects me, and those who reject me reject the one who sent me." 2 Another illustration is Jesus’ abusive and hateful speech towards his fellow Jews. lt is, quite abnormal for anyone to hate his own countrymen. But the Gospels' portrayal of Jesus is, once again, not in accordance, with the depiction of a Jesus of love. Witness "John’s" Jesus’, dehumanizing, impersonal, treasonous, demonization of Jesus’ kith and kin, all undoubted contradictions of the high ideals of Jesus in Luke 23:34 and 10:16: "Why do you know not understand what I say? You are from your father, the devil, and you prefer to do What your father wants. He was a murderer from the start; He was never grounded in the truth; there is no truth in him at all. When he lies He is speaking true to his nature, because he is a liar, and the father of lies." 3 " ... Woe unto you scribes and Pharisees... Wherefore you be witnesses unto yourselves that you are the children of them which killed the Prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Wherefore, behold I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them shall ye shall kill and crucify, and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say unto you, all these things shall come upon this generation. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that kills the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto YOU…." 4 As for Paul, the Christian Bible’s first apostle to the Gentiles, the Jews are the "enemies of the whole human race:" -3- "For you my brothers have been like the churches of God In Christ Jesus which are in Judea, in suffering the same treatment from your own countrymen as they have suffered from the Jews, the people who put the Lord Jesus to death, and the prophets too. And now they have been persecuting us, and acting in a way that cannot please God and makes them the enemies of the whole human race, because they are hindering us from preaching to the pagans and trying to save them. They never stop trying to finish of the sins they have begun, but retribution is overtaking them at last." 5 As if these proclamations of Jewish hatred are not enough to deny Christian ethics, a "hateful Jesus" continually contests the real "loving Jesus." An uncontrolled rash of blame of Jews is, consequently, scattered all over the New Testament. Topping it all is Matthew’s fake report of Jewish self-damnation for ancient Rome’s crucifixion of the Jewish rebel Jesus. "His blood be upon us and our children," Jews supposedly shout in a confession that, ultimately caused, some Historians, to portray Jewish history in Christian lands as a sad "death march." As if the contradiction and inconsistencies in the Jewish trial of Jesus and Christian ethics were not enough, " Christian theology pronounces Jesus’ murder is actually God’s eternal plan to atone for our sins. On this account, Jesus declares in a Christian Passover," this cup is the New Testament in my blood, which Is shed for you." 6 The murder of Jesus is, therefore, nothing to mourn about. The Christian psyche in theory has no reason for any ambivalence or hatred toward Jews: "And’ Jesus "began to teach " his disciples "that the Son of Man must suffer many things and be rejected of the elders and of the chief priests, and scribes and be killed and after three days rise again. And he spake that saying openly. And Peter took him, and began to rebuke him: But when he had turned about and looked on his disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying get thee behind me, Satan for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men."7 Apparently, anyone, who is in theological opposition to the killing or sacrifice of Jesus by supposed Jews or the ancient Romans are performing the work of Satan. -4- Paul puts the "final" stamp of Christian theology on Jesus’ sacrifice: "In whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins." 8 Peter, the rock of the Church, thus, follows Jesus’s advice, and deSatanizes himself. Of Jesus’s "murder-sacrifice," he proclaims, "who his own self bare our sins in his blood on the tree." 9 All these contradictions in the Christian Bible shouldn’t surprise anyone! The four Gospels are notably inconsistent, even in their most significant features. These inconsistencies occur, even in the most central element of Christianity. Mark and John, for instance, are amazingly enough silent about the "Sermon on the Mount" and the rule to "love one’s enemies." Christian ethical and theological denials for Jewish responsibility for the crucifixion of Jesus and Jew-hatred are, thus, clearly spelled out in the Christian Bible. Incessant demonization of Jesus’ kinsmen, the Jews is totally inconsistent with both precepts of Jesus’ express proclamation on the cross, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do," and "love thine enemy." Finally, all the centuries of persecution and murder of Jews is, by the New Testament’s own description, the work of "Satan". If Jesus’ sacrifice is to atone for our sins, then, why persecute, Jesus own people, the Jews? Even more absurd than all this, why, as "Jews Did Not Kill Jesus, Contradictory New Testament Gospels Admit" proves, pick on Jesus’s innocent countrymen who have no responsibility for killing Jesus, in the first place? Paul sums up the irrationality of the New Testament: "For Christ did not sent me to baptize, but to preach the Good News, and not to preach that in the terms of philosophy in which the crucifixion of Christ cannot be expressed. The language of the Cross may be illogical to those who are not on the way to salvation, but those of us who are on the way see it as God’s power to save. As scripture says:’ I shall destroy the wisdom of the wise and will bring to nothing all the learning of the learned. Where are the philosophers now? -5- Where are the scribes?’ Where are any of our thinkers today? Do you see now how God has shown up the foolishness of human wisdom? If it was God’s wisdom that human wisdom should not know God, it was because God wanted to save those who have faith through the foolishness of the message that we preach… For God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and God’s weakness is stronger than human strength." 10 But since God is, according to Scripture," holy, good, and wise," God cannot grant salvation based on killing Himself, His son, the Holy spirit, or a slander of Jesus’ people, the Jews. Nor can God in Christian terms violate the ethics or theology of Christianity. For this reasons, all charges of Jews killing Jesus must be uprooted from the Christian Bible. Church Fathers must atone, for unknowingly or knowingly sinning, by adopting, "the hateful" part of the Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, put into the mouth of a Jesus of love. The pages of history are scattered with countless pogroms, inquisition, and Crusades conducted against Jesus’ countrymen. The Christian Bible, clearly, planted the seeds for pogroms, which, in its final forms led to the "Holocaust". Christians of love must now form an alliance with all peace-loving people to eliminate this stigma from the Christian Bible’s teachings. Just Rebel, Inc. | Copyright © 2004
